Awesome zombie story!  Just different enough to make it stand out from all the others out there on the market today.  And the star of the book  is female.  Now there's a switch for a zombie horror book.  The young adult books have been gearing toward female protagonists, but the adult books.... not so much.

It's only a few years into the future and zombies are everywhere.  The zombie "illness" has occurred from biological warfare across the planet that wiped out most edible food products.  From cows to corn, there's no food left.  Before the governments disappeared from the world they spread fast growing seeds all over the place.  The seeds grew into a plant containing all the nutritional ingredients needed to survive.  The only problem... it also mutated and some of it, when eaten, turns you into a raving, slavering, bloodthirsty zombie.

Worse, the zombies don't want to eat you, they want to peel you slowly like  a banana.  Ick.  I'll leave the details to the book.

Our protagonist, Cass, has made it through abuse, sexual looseness, alcoholism, poverty and having her daughter taken away from her..........only to realize she's lost two months of her life from from being a zombie chew toy and has also lost her daughter yet again.

This story is how Cass struggles to not only find and regain her daughter, but to discover how she came back from being a zombie herself and how she can keep it all from happening again, or in a more permanent manner.

This story has violence, horror, humor and a little hot sex thrown in.

Everything you need in a good read that you can't put down!

Welcome to the Dew Book Review Section!

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
