Sequel to The Icon Thief

Book Description:
Europe's troubled past and terrifying future collides in the streets and prisons of London—and beyond. This new international thriller hinges on a real historical event, one of the most enigmatic unsolved mysteries in the history of Russia.

Rachel Wolfe, a gifted Mormon FBI agent assigned to a major investigation overseas, discovers that a notorious gun runner has been murdered at his home in London, his body set on fire. When a second victim is found under identical circumstances, the ensuing chase plunges Wolfe and her colleagues into a breathless race across Europe, a secret war between two ruthless intelligence factions, and a hunt for a remorseless killer. At the heart of the mystery lies one of the strangest unsolved incidents in the history of Russia, the unexplained death of nine mountaineers in the Dyatlov Pass in 1959. And at the center of it all stands a figure from Wolfe's past, Ilya Severin, the Russian thief and former assassin known in another life as the Scythian…

Idgie Says:
This a definitive must read for lovers of spy/political/mystery books. It starts off with spies and killers tracking and double-tracking each other, turns into a forensics/murder riddle and then pulls out a historical mystery.

So you have chase scenes, blood, intrigue, mayhem, mystery and procedural police work all in one novel.

Normally I might tout this as a "man's novel" (I know, smack me), but with the lead investigator being a female it adds an additional kick to it that could draw in the female reader that generally might not have interest in this type of story.

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
