Algonquin keeps quite a few books on their current roster of interest and I came across this one in their fall catalog. Being an animal lover with far too many living in my house, I immediately asked to review it.
If you're an animal lover this is a very amusing, fun book to read. As we all know, animals rule the house they live in, not the humans that pay the bills.
Bob was leading a nice peaceful life when his wife Linda innocently suggested they get a pet. This is where the loss of control in their own lives all began. Bob and Linda have had about a billion pets since then. Al wide variety - ducks, rabbits, various birds, etc.
Each chapter tells the tale of how yet another animal ruled their lives and took over their house. I personally have to admire their stamina in doing it again and again.
If you're a pet owner, you'll nod knowingly through most of these stories, chuckle at the antics.....and be secretly relieved that these things happen to others beside yourself!
A cute book that crosses several age groups - I let my daughter read it also.
