Bleed for Me
Author: Michael Robothom
Publisher: Mulholland
Publication Date: February 27, 2012
ISBN-13: 978-0-316-12638-0

From the Publisher:

A teenage girl–Sienna, a troubled friend of his daughter–comes to Joe O’Loughlin’s door one night. She is terrorized, incoherent-and covered in blood.

The police find Sienna’s father, a celebrated former cop, murdered in the home he shared with Sienna. Tests confirm that it’s his blood on Sienna. She says she remembers nothing.

Joe O’Loughlin is a psychologist with troubles of his own. His marriage is coming to an end and his daughter will barely speak to him. He tries to help Sienna, hoping that if he succeeds it will win back his daughter’s affection. But Sienna is unreachable, unable to mourn her father’s death or to explain it.

Idgie Says:
I will say that Joe lets nothing stand in his way, not even his body – which you will find out within the first two chapters!  He suffers from Parkinson but does his best to ignore it while he continues on his task of keeping creeps where they belong.  I found him to be a quite likable character.

This crime mystery is filled with believable characters, many who have survived horrific crimes themselves in prior three Joe O'Louglin series.  Joe's daughter has suffered a horrifically frightening kidnapping in a previous book that has of course affected her actions since. Now in this story we discover her friend has some fairly disturbing secrets she's been keeping that could affect both of them in the end.  Joe's main goal is to keep these two young girls safe and find out who may be dangerous to them.

Fast paced action combined with shocking twists and turns makes for a compelling read that keeps you going to the end.

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
