Book Description:
Superheroes and action stars aren't the only ones out there trying to
make the world a better place. In Theo and Fat Terry, two low-rent good
ol' boys take a road trip through East Georgia on a mission to clean up
their own backyard.
This story is part open letter to all pop
culture junkies, part scathing satire, and part call to arms to every
regular Joe that has just had enough.
Sometimes in order to right a few wrongs, you have to blow some s#@t up.
Idgie Says:
This is a fun short story to read. If you're Southern you'll nod knowingly at the phrasing and thought processes going on in these boy's minds. If you're not Southern, you'll still enjoy the sharp wit and word play that occurs in the story. Brian definitely has a way with language and has the ability to take a meaningless chatter session and turn it into a particularly fine piece of conversation.
He also has the ability to really make the characters pop to life. Talent indeed in such a short tale. The section where Theo and Fat Terry try to decide who's the hottest girl Muppet is worth the read alone.
This is definitely a short story, and while very affordable and worth the money as an ebook, I would only pay the paperback price for it if you know Brian or seek his autograph - not for the content, but for the price comparative to the size of the book.
