This slim volume contains 22 great stories of inspiration from 22 famous football players who used their skill, determination and great desire to succeed to get them where they are today.
The back cover proclaims that it’s a book full of “success gems” that every person who wants to be successful would benefit from being exposed to and incorporating in their own lives. I’ll go one step further and say put this book right into the hands of the young reader. Most young boys (and girls) idolize in some manner well known football players. Let them listen to the words about hard work, striving for your achievements, encouragements to keep on, etc. from men they think “made it” and “have it all”.
If Steve Young wanted to give me some words of wisdom, I’d sure sit down and listen. Some of the other greats telling their tale in this book are Merle Olsen, Mike Ditka, Dick Butkus and Johnny Unitas, plus quite a few more.
A great book for any football fan, or just for someone that needs a little encouragement to keep aiming for their goals.
My husband is patiently waiting for me to finish my review so he can rip the book out of my hands!
