Idgie Says:
Yes! Just what is needed out there - a clear, step-by-step guide on what to do once that book is published and you need to sell, sell, sell!
This is extremely practical advice that I myself have been telling new authors and beginning writers for several years now. No matter what the industry does for you, there is still the need to sell yourself to the readers. Renea shares simple methods to get yourself known. Not only does to tell you what you need to do, but she explains how to get it done - like paint by the numbers! I found myself nodding in agreement frequently while browsing the pages. Some of the ideas may sound simplistic, but sometimes it's the simple things that bring the most notice!
I also like the personal touches of recommending bookstores, websites, and authors who are doing it right... speaking of which - Renea is very much "doing it right". She has marketed herself and her first book, "In the Garden With Billy: Lessons About Life, Love and Tomatoes" into a huge success story.
I definitely recommend this book for those just starting out.
