Description:
Wes Holiday sells his landscaping business and retreats to a quaint mountain town to heal after ending a ten year relationship with a woman he couldn’t bring himself to marry. In three weeks he is so captivated by a hair stylist that he deprives himself of food and sleep to be near her. When the local sheriff is murdered, Wes is recruited to keep the peace in the town his parents built, but he knows nothing about law enforcement and he’s struggling to understand how a woman he just met can dominate his every waking thought. Soon the idyllic town with a penchant for romance is rocked by a bizarre series of murders that defy explanation and it is up to Wes to stop a raging epidemic of violence.

What Idgie Says:

Addicted to Love - an interesting story!  I can't say too much as I don't want to give anything away, but what starts out as a slightly "icky" over the top romance - Leah and Wes are so into each other that you can't help but wince a little - quickly turns into a story with glimpses of Robin Cook/Michael Crichton type moments. Things are not as they seem in this small town and it's getting weirder by the minute.

What's making the woman of the town turn into feral animals and attack the very men they had making googly eyes at only a short time before?  Speaking of googly eyes - why is it that in such a small town the florist, jeweler and candy shop have lines around them filled with very contented men every day?

A good fast story with a whopper of a mystery and a nice sharp pace.

Also check out The End of Marking Time by CJ.  A very intense futuristic (don't know that it's sci-fi) novel of learning to change your ways...or die. Wow ending!  I read this book when he was giving copies away to get the word out.  It's now available in paperback or on Kindle.

Book Description

Publication Date: May 22, 2010

Gifted housebreaker, Michael O'Connor, awakens inside an ultramodern criminal justice system where prison walls are replaced by surveillance equipment and a host of actors hired to determine if he is worthy of freedom. While he was sleeping, the Supreme Court declared long term incarceration to be cruel and unusual punishment and ordered two million felons released. The result was utter chaos and the backlash from law-abiding citizens and police departments reshaped the United States. Felons now enter reeducation programs where they live freely among the population. At least that's what they think. In reality they are enslaved to an army of counselors and a black box that teaches them everything they failed to learn from kindergarten through adulthood. Michael believes he's being tested by the black box, but what he slowly begins to realize is that everything he does is evaluated to determine whether he lives or dies.

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
