It's Not Necessarily Not the Truth
Dreaming Bigger than the Town You're From
Author: Jamie Pressly
Publisher: William Morrow/Imprint of HarperCollins
Publication Date: March, 2009
ISBN: 9780061454141

This is one of those great southern tales of a Girl from a Small Southern Town Going Big.

Jamie struggled through small town limitations, teachers who thought she couldn't learn, struggles to be noticed among thousands of others striving for fame, etc.

But her family unit was strong and supportive and helped her to achieve her goals, even uprooting their lives to move away for her's.

She became a teen model at 13 and went on to a very successful modeling career until branching out into acting. She has been in several movies and is at the moment playing Joy on My Name is Earl, for which she won an Emmy.

This is a very honest story of her life, with humor and determination being the overriding emotions while dealing with the situations she encountered along the way.

If you would like to learn a little more about this girl from Kinston, North Carolina - here's your book!

Welcome to the Dew Book Review Section!

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
