What perfect timing for the Dew to receive this book! I took it with me on my vacation to South Carolina and read it........ on the beach!
This story is centered around four women that were college housemates 20 years ago in North Carolina. You have the OCD housewife, the single writer that runs through men like a leaky faucet, the happily married woman that wants nothing to do with all the turmoil in the world and the slightly vacant, over medicated heiress that married who her mother picked out 20 years ago, not who she was in love with.
They all meet up after not seeing each other for the past 10 years or so at the heiress' new beach house on Whale Head Island for a week of sun and catching up. Once on the island secrets, longings and jealousies all come pouring out and an unexpected tragedy will either rip their friendship apart forever or bring them once again closer to each other.
This is a larger sized book but very easy to sit down and become absorbed in. A great "beach read" that you can just float along with the story line and not think too hard about it.
Mine has a few water stains on it now, but it was worth it!
