"Retired" from the special forces, Kennesaw Tanner does freelance covert work. When he's not working, he lives on a boat that he docks in Savannah
A powerful sheik's entire family is killed on their boat in the middle of the night by terrorists (description is harrowing if you have children). They left alive his youngest child, a boy, an heir. He's taken away and his grandfather is given an extremely high ransom demand.
Kennesaw Tanner is asked to step in by the government on his own as a freelancer and rescue the boy. The Sheik has asked the United States government for help but they prefer to not get involved. But as he heads off on this mission, he discovers things are not what they seem.
I don't want to tell any more of the story as it would give away too much plot.
Suffice to say, this is a fast action spy rescue mission type of book with just enough sarcasm flowing through to make it light hearted at times.
I love sarcasm.
A good, quick read that will keep you interested the whole way through.
