**Now in Paperback - Just in time for the Beach!**
This is a fun summer read of a book that’s a follow up to Plantation, a novel that was written 10 years ago. The characters are all following the path that they started upon in Plantation. While I don't say you should read Plantation first, I do think it would help with the character development in your mind to have done so.
This is a book that I somewhat describe as “Seinfeld-ish”. I say that because it very much follows the characters in their day to day happenings with lots of snappy dialogue – most of the time among several characters at once. Chaotic discussions that are fun to read. You have to pay attention to follow along, but if you do so it’s a fast paced, interesting read.
There are situations that occur in the story, along with the day to day happenings – such as Caroline’s brother’s ex-wife endangering his 4 girls with her alcoholism and the need Caroline feels to get her brother to buck up and do something about it. Between this situation, the fact that her son is keeping time with an older single mom, and Caroline's crush on the local sheriff while supposedly in a relationship with someone else keeps the story cruising along and the dialogue fast-paced.
Take this book to the beach and get a wake up call when you’re so absorbed in the story that you don’t realize the tide has just washed your radio out to sea. :)
