Nicholas Sparks is king of the romance reads. His stories are easy to follow with straightforward writing.

This particular story subject has been written about quite a few times in recent history, but Sparks makes his characters likable enough that even though the tale is familiar, you still want to know what happens with these people.

Katie suddenly shows up in the small town of Southport, taking a job at the local diner. She's quiet, keeps to herself, and looks scared most of the time. No one knows anything about her or her past.

Alex, a local shopkeeper and widow with two small children, finds himself attracted to this mysterious yet gentle woman. He has been happy raising his children since his wife died a few years before but now feels ready to move on.

It soon becomes apparent that Katie is hiding from something........... or someone.

Will she be able to overcome her fears and feel safe once again, with or without Alex's help?

Wait for the ending - that'll wake you up!

Welcome to the Dew Book Review Section!

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
