Death on Coffin Island

Death on Coffin Island
Author: Michele Nutwell
Publisher: Booksurge
Publication Date: 2007
ISBN: 978-1-41965-764-1

A very fun book to read, much in the vein of Evanovich or Grafton. A lot of sarcasm, humor and just enough crime and mystery to keep the story hopping.

Kell is a newspaper reporter for the local Folly Island paper who works with her best pals, a photographer and a crime reporter. She also lives in the bottom half of a house, and spends much of her home life trying to avoid her seriously odd upstairs neighbors.

Besides the neighbors, she has a great life. Lives on the beach, small town community, tight friends, big dog, great job...... until murdered surfer girls start turning up literally right under her feet.

She goes for a jog, runs into a dead girl under the pier, goes for a bike ride, falls over another dead girl. Suspicious looks start to head her by the Chief of Police. Kell decides to take matters into her own hands before a dead girl shows up on her couch.

An amusing murder mystery with never a slow moment.  I look forward to more books from Michele in the future.

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
