The Girl Who Disappeared Twice
Author: Andrea Kane

Publisher: Mira
Format: Hardcover , 400pp

ISBN: 0778329844

This is an interesting crime scene investigative novel involving  a kidnapped 5 year old girl, 2 wealthy and overly busy parents - who both have enemies - and a very interesting task force called Forensic Instincts that employees anything it takes to solve the crime and save the victim.  Everyone appears to be very good looking too - rather NCIS-ish.  :)

The characters are interesting, there's enough sarcastic humor in there to give you a chuckle now and again.  There's no gore or excessive violence which I have to admit I am thankful for.

Every few chapters there's a little tiny chapter from the 5 year old herself sharing her fears, loneliness and confusing.  Gut wrenching I tell you.

The only mild disappointment I had was that I had pretty much figured out "whodunit" by the 3rd or 4th chapter.  Not the why they did it, but who it was.  Perhaps that is planned by the author so that you concentrate on the why instead.  But again, I was still interested enough to continue on.  It appears to be part of a series and I would not be opposed to reading the next one.

Welcome to the Dew Book Review Section!

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
