A very nice old-fashioned story. Nicely written with lovable characters and enough interesting story plots to keep you entertained the entire way through. It’s actually quite refreshing to read a book without angst and despair running throughout the story.

This Miss Julia is the 10th one in a series of books revolving around a beloved town matriarch, who gently guides others to see good in people and treat all with respect. But… she does land in a pickle herself now and again.

Julia’s husband, Sam, has been told that a marriage enrichment class could only help his relationship along and bring Julia and himself closer. So he signs them up. What he doesn’t realize is that the counselor is a shady sort who goes after vulnerable women and that at one time in the past, Miss Julia was one of those women. Yes, a pickle indeed if Sam finds out.

Meanwhile, a widow after her next husband comes back to town and is promptly attacked in her home. She blames another gentle soul in the town and Miss Julia won’t have that nonsense when she’s around. She’s determined to prove the widow wrong.

Closing out the hornet’s nest of issues is the newly married couple who are hoping to hide the fact that the wife is at least 4 months along already……………with twins!

A fun read that won’t leave your desperate for a hanky or a cheering up after you finish.

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
