This is a very strong faith based story where the main characters depend on God and his guidance for many decisions.  These types of books can become overwhelming in their religious tone and negate the story itself.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find the main character of this story, Allison, full of spunk and dry humor.  She is not a wallflower waiting to be led.  She has held firm to her faith but found humor in life. Basically, she's someone I would like to have as a friend.

Now to the story itself.  Allison is having a mild panic attack as two of the threesome of best friends she belongs to have started dating.  She sees her future of sitting beside them on a bench watching them smooch on each other all day as she talks to a shoe.  She wonders where her life will lead her and if she'll find love sometimes soon.

Imagine her surprise (not to mention the rest of the class) when Ashton Boyd, former relief pitcher for the Atlanta Braves, shows up in her Sunday School classroom.  He has recently joined the church and also the young adult Sunday School.

While other young women in the class fawn over him, Allison of course dumps a full glass of water on his lap instead. Purely an accident.   So they meet and things go from there.  But Ashton's plan is not to stay in town and settle down.  He  wants to pursue his baseball dream, regardless of what town it takes him to.

Allison must decide whether to stay in her safe, comfortable environment or take a chance in life and follow Ashton's dream with him........if he should invite her of course.

In the meantime amusing events occur and life stays interesting for Allison, especially when the reporters want to know who she is and how she factors into Ashton's life.

A very nice romance that will also reaffirm God's love and wisdom.

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
