Book 1 in a 4 book series

Publication Date: November, 2008
ISBN: 978-0-451-22509-2
Melanie is a successful realtor in Charleston, who does a fine job of ignoring family, history, emotional ties, and anything that makes her act like a human.
She had a rough upbringing – her mother disappeared out of her life when she was young, her father became an alcoholic, her grandmother died and the house she loved was sold out from under her.
Oh, did I mention she sees dead people?
Melanie avoids anything historical as these items and places are always surrounded by pesky dead people wanting her to do things for them.
So she is horrified when a gentleman she barely knows leaves her his centuries old house on Tradd Street when he dies. He also leaves her a dog, a pile of money, and a century old mystery/treasure hunt.
Luckily a hunky author shows up on her door to help her solve the mystery.... in between getting her to loosen up a little and have some fun.
This is a very fun book, filled with humor, sarcasm, romance and ghosts. All the good stuff a book needs!

The first of a four book series. I have to say that I’m eagerly awaiting the next book, which will be The Girl on Legare Street and that will come out in November.
