Another Nicholas Sparks tearjerker! Soon to be a movie with Miley Cyrus. You have to admit, his books turn into nice movies too.

Ronnie is 17 years old and full of rage.

Her father inexplicably changed careers 5 years ago, from a Julliard music teacher to a classical pianist on the road. Slowly his marriage and career fell apart and the last time she saw him was 3 years ago.

Her mother suddenly announces she and her little brother will go spend the summer with him on the beach in North Carolina.

Ronnie cannot believe that her mother would put her through this and, as can be expected, is less than cooperative upon arriving in town.

The story revolves around Ronnie finding a relationship with her father after years of bitterness. Learning to see what drove him to act as he did and understand him a little more.

At the same time she finds love at the beach, which may or may not fall apart as the summer comes to an end.

With the coming of Fall, Ronnie finds herself having to make some very adult decisions for the first time in her life.

A nice, pleasant, feel good read.

Welcome to the Dew Book Review Section!

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
