First off I want to say that if you are thinking of veering away from this book because you aren’t interested in religion in your reading – while Miracle is listed under Christian it is not a religious book. It’s a book about nice people in a nice town where there’s remorse for old actions and the possibility of making an old wrong right again, if everyone’s willing.

Mercy Land moved away from her small village of people to a small town – which is big enough for her. Since she was 20 she’s lived in a boarding house, working at the local paper as “Doc’s Girl”. She is satisfied. She has no man in her life, but fondly remembers her dear friend Tommy – who disappeared when she was 15, never to be heard from again.

One day Doc calls her into his office and reveals to her a book that has suddenly appeared on his desk – it’s a magic book that shows people and their lives – people they live with everyday. Doc becomes more and more nervous - you see, he has a secret and he’s not sure that book isn’t going to let it out.

Things only become more mysterious when John Quincy comes to town and moves into the boardinghouse. He obviously has a big secret. Mercy is drawn to him, but leery at the same time. Between John and the mystery book – Mercy’s life suddenly goes from sedate and known to quite unpredictable. How do these two events turn her life upside down? Can a person change the road they’re on in life, if given another chance?

Read and find out!

Welcome to the Book Review Section at the Dew!

If you are a publishing house or author who has a book Southern in nature, or by a Southern writer, that you would like the Dew to review, please contact me at dewonthekudzu@gmail.com and I will provide you mailing information. (Wink wink, nudge nudge... the Dew has been getting a little lax about the Southern rule recently... just saying.)

The Dew tries it's best to have a review online as close to the publication date as possible, depending on the number of books waiting for review.

Please note, book reviews are the Dew's "business". The Dew does NOT post it's reviews on other sites. Please do not request that we do so. Thank you.

BUT, if I review your book, you may feel free to share it wherever you wish!
