Pete writes the “For Morons” series of books and his life continues in a shamble of moronic issues on their own. His life sounds like a country song. Wife gone, girlfriend cheating, daddy sick, stocks ate his money. He finds solace in his favorite bar... and his dog, Stella.
Stella is by far the best part of this book. I adore her. She is a dog that can talk – well to Pete anyway. She’s completely sarcastic. I love sarcastic dogs.
Dogs have no sense of time and hence the title of the book – every time Pete goes out for the evening Stella thinks he dies and isn’t coming back. Stella also treats him like she’s his mother, a sarcastic Jewish mother. I want her to be my dog.
An interesting story line on Pete possibly working toward pulling his life together, but Stella is what really keeps it all interesting.
