Georgia Bottoms
Feb 24, 2011
Georgia Bottoms (Formerly Butts before the family decided the name was not genteel enough) leads a wonderful life as one of the pillars of her small community. She attends church every Sunday, has a fine, genteel hobby of quilt making and lives quietly in her big house on the edge of town with her mother.
This is what the world sees. Behind those curtains, Georgia lives a completely different life that not even her best friend, the Mayor, knows about . A life that would shock the entire town and alienate her completely.
You see, the family money is long gone and Georgia, without many skills to her name, must use whatever advantages she has to keep herself and her family in clothes and food. So Georgia has become a fantasy for several of the men of fine standing in the community. Six to be exact, one for each night with one night left to herself.
Georgia seems quite pleased and content with her life, but what happens when her carefully planned life slowly starts to unravel and all her secrets threaten to spill?
Georgia is a woman you can't help but like, even if you don't agree with how she runs her life. She's full of energy and determination and doesn't let issues that might send the rest of us running even slightly slow her down.
This is a fun read, always lively with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages quickly. I was disappointed when I reached the last page - I wanted to know what happened after. In fact it was rather left open for a sequel, I believe. If so, I'm already waiting for it.
